Mission statement

The Foundation for the Development of International Education (FDIE) is an independent think tank. Its mission is the promotion of excellence in schools by the adoption of multi-lingual and multi-cultural programmes from primary school onwards.

The FDIE vigorously supports both International Sections and the International Option of the French Baccalaureate (OIB), the end-of-school exam created by France and implemented with 13 other countries.
Multi-lingual and multi-cultural students who go to schools with International Sections have:
excellent academic results
enhanced professional mobility
more equal opportunities
diversity and cross-cultural respect and
improved access to the world of work.
Furthermore, the regions where such schools are located show extra strength in the knowledge economy and ensure increased attractiveness for their regions.
