The Foundation for the Development of International Education (FDIE) is an independent think tank. Its mission is the promotion of excellence in schools by the adoption of multi-lingual and multi-cultural programmes from primary school onwards.
The FDIE vigorously supports both International Sections and the International Option of the French Baccalaureate (OIB), the end-of-school exam created by France and implemented with 16 other countries.
Multi-lingual and multi-cultural students who go to schools with International Sections have:
- excellent academic results
- enhanced professional mobility
- more equal opportunities
- diversity and cross-cultural respect and
- improved access to the world of work.
Furthermore, the regions where such schools are located show extra strength in the knowledge economy and ensure increased attractiveness for their regions.
